PISCES MOON: The Empty Cup Vs The Cup That Runneth Over
At 2:04 pm PST, 5:04 pm EST and 10:04 pm UT/GMT The moon enters Pisces.
After a week of Capricorn and Aquarian energy built upon the fiery launch of the Sagittarius full moon, many of you might be feeling the burn of an overload of urgency, duty, and at times, competition.
Why is this important?
As the moon goes through each zodiac sign, the behavior pattern(s) associated with each sign is believed to influence each of us to act out in a way consistent within that given sign.
What are some of the influences of the Pisces Moon?
Since the moon is in Pisces, expect a lot of Pisces behavior coming from people. You should expect the tone of peoples behavior to be emotional and intuitive. But remember that emotional may not just mean mushy, moody and sensitive. “Emotional” can also be passionately fierce, driven and protective of comfort and the status quo.
What should you consider under a Pisces Moon?
Be on the look out for people expressing spiritual & Artistic parts of their character as a means of resolving conflicts or healing themselves and others. Pisces moon energy is the highly susceptible or receptive yin energy that is associated with the “night” or feminine aspect of Astro-losophy.
Pisces rules the 18 card of the Tarot and is associated with THE MOON itself. The Pisces moon encourages people to be more intuitive, whimsical, compassionate. It is the sign of artistic creation that is inspired by limitless imagination. This Pisces moon is the portent of things to come. The Next Solar Eclipse will be at 29º Pisces on March 20, 2015.
Don’t be fooled into thinking that this is simple folly, because Pisces is the zodiac sign of such creative minds as Alexander Graham Bell, Dr. Seuss, W.E.B. DuBois, and Albert Einstein.
What Should I be mindful of?
Be mindful this weekend because The sun, Mercury, and Venus are all in Sagittarius. So our will and passions will be communicated through action as Sagittarius is of the active fire elements and Mercury is considered to be in its detriment position in Sagittarius.
According to the principals of “dignity” astrology, Mercury is exalted in the signs Gemini and Virgo. So naturally the detriment will be in the opposite signs of Sagittarius and Pisces. Bottom line, the compassion of the Pisces moon is at odds with Sagittarius’ directness and bluntness.
So I repeat, be mindful of what you say, and think before you act.
Mercury in Sagittarius is about superficial or surface knowledge, it subverts the “big picture” thinking of Sagittarius’ expansive point of view. So if someone is shooting off their mouth and they don’t have all the facts, put them on mute (ignore them) and keep it moving.
Venus in Sagittarius will lend itself to keeping things light while inclining us towards a little adventure. Don’t be afraid to be playful and daring, especially around issues of love, culture and philosophy.
With both Uranus and Jupiter in fire signs, the sun in Sagittarius reactivates the fire trine through December, rolling out the red carpet of ACTION for Saturn to move into Sagittarius December 23rd. Since the Full Moon in Gemini takes place on December 6th, and the 6th of 7 exact squares happens on December 15th, be prepared to pass the “cray poupon.” While this will be a time for creativity and change, this will also be a contest of wills between individual sovereignty and institutional conditioning.
Let’s hope that Neptune uses the power of his trident to help us create roads that lead us away from the Bat $h*t Cray Cray pinball machine of kenetic cuckoo.
Since Chiron and Neptune are both direct, we are fortunate because we will learn so much from the next month that everything will be worth it. Even if it does not seem like it while you are in the thick of the storm. Like every cup of water, there is always a choice to see it as half full or half empty.
Recognition and gratitude for the lessons that we learn and the blessings that are already on the way reinforce the concept that your cup always runneth over if you approach each situation with a winning attitude.
How do you ride the toughest waves of challenge?
