Moon in Sagittarius—May 5, 2015—>4:13 am PDT, 7:13 am EDT, 11:13 am UT/GMT
After three days of a full moon in Scorpio brimming over with Martian action and Plutonian intensity, the moon crashes into the ass of the centaur for a dose of healing at the end of the bluntness bat of Sagittarius!
What does this mean to the common person?
Probably not much, but for those of us that follow astrology, people tend to buck harder for their freedom and autonomy when the moon is in Sagittarius. Now if you have been going through the usual emotionally, non-negotiable transpersonal breakdowns and breakthroughs that the full moon in Scorpio is known for, you might be a bit raw and wound tight. Why do I mention this tightly wound headspace? Because while the full moon was in Scorpio, Jupiter in Leo made an intense square to the Taurus sun setting up a T-square of tension that makes it more difficult for either side to give an inch in an argument.
So naturally when the moon went into Sagittarius, not only are people stubbornly holding to their opinion and hissing at those that would dare “tread” upon them, people lose their filter because Sagittarius doesn’t candy coat sh*t for no one. Even if you fancy your self the CEO of a chocolate factory (Sorry Willy Wonka and See’s Candy).
The good news is that fire sign energy tends to support us in letting go of anger almost instantly. Holding on to anger takes far too much space in our minds and in our hearts so when you find yourself barking and being barked at this week remember that we are in the Bat Sh*t Cray Cray #BSCC region of astrology, occupied by our favorite Sage, Sagittarius.
Mercury just moved into its “shadow phase.” This phase paints the cosmic canvass with the tint of self-reflection and internalization that characterizes the emotional and intellectual, “shadow work” that helps us step up our game. So in effect, this is where communications starts to get Miley Cyrus twerking in front of a conservative church crazy. No matter how clear you are with your words, beware!
This is that part of the Mercury Retrograde shadow when whomever you are having a communication breakdown with will be likely to:
- twist your words out of context
- hear only that which can be used to manipulate you and bend you to their political agenda
- generally commit to misunderstanding you
Since Venus is at the tail end of Gemini, deep in the Aquarius/Uranus decan which opposes both Saturn and the moon in Sagittarius, expect that most issues with authorities or people in positions that hold authority/sway (IE, parents, older siblings, friends that have designated themselves your own personal, “thought police”) will result in unforeseen and perhaps unnecessary conflicts.
You can choose to stand your ground and expand your yang to challenge the old order, or you can contract, yin style and come back later when the cosmic weather is a little less thick with the stale air of emotional flatulence. —Talk about “release”—Remember, you want to keep the gas level to a minimum so that all of the #BSCC doesn’t cause your environment to explode like Krakatoa or Vesuvius. You know the drill, you might survive the emotional volcanic eruption(s), but it’s much harder to outrun the wave of a tsunami on your pre-school sized surf board.
Let The Cosmos Have The Problem?
May is a huge month of action and change, so I encourage you to read my full breakdown on the Cosmic Intelligence Agency website. The moon goes into cantankerous Capricorn on Thursday reminding us that if we are going to be in service to others, we might want to let them in on our good deeds for them and ask how they may want us to help or support instead of just doing it our own way. This is the game of life, not the take-out window at Burger King. Fussy, overly critical and blunt words shall be heard many times before the weekend so the best thing that you can do is to remember the place of love that all of the snarky remarks may be coming from.
Am I saying you should be a punching bag?
What I am saying is be prepared to listen to the language of anger, disappointment and at times, vindictiveness. Your best ally is to guide the person back to “why?” Because if they truly are doing things out of love and safety, you may want to ask why you are NOT allowed input in the plans that are supposed to “help” you. Help and support is a great thing when we ask for it, but sometimes when its unsolicited it can feel more like a demand that turns into a judgment.
The trick is to find the line of compromise. This can be challenging if everyone is speaking to be heard and not speaking to be received. This is where the bluntness bat of Sagittarius can fail us. But if we use that bluntness bat with a sense of humor, we can lighten things up and resolve conflicts in a snap. Its all in which attitude you choose to resolve the conflicts that happen because everyone is in “wise guy” mode. And no, I don’t mean Tony Soprano either.
Now is a great time to listen to great music and focus on the visionary creativity that Mercury in Gemini facilitates. Most people with Mercury in Virgo or Gemini will find that they can focus and be even more productive at this time. Since Mercury is making a square to Neptune, most people will find themselves deep in the mystical thoughts of dreams, existentialism and philosophy. With Mars in Taurus, idealism will be at its peak, so don’t expect everyone to have the same priorities as you do. Be aware of committing to more than you can handle now that Jupiter in Leo is direct and heading toward Virgo in August. The full moon in Sagittarius is in early June, so just look at this fire trine intensity as just a small preview of upcoming events.
Forgive yourself and others when your tempers go up in flames.
